A decisive shift is underway as President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, currently on a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman, met with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq at Al Barakah Palace to advance high-impact agreements set to reshape the country’s energy and economic landscape. Infrastructure is also in focus. A partnership between OQ S.A.O.C. and Botswana Oil Limited will drive key projects such as coastal fuel storage in Walvis Bay and the Tshele Hills Strategic Petroleum Depot, strengthening supply chains and enhancing national resilience.
Upon his return from Oman, Boko is expected to travel to Maun to officiate the launch of the landmark solar project, a move that reinforces the country’s shift from policy ambition to tangible execution. Together, these developments signal a bold, strategic push to secure energy stability, unlock mineral wealth and accelerate long-term economic transformation, with both nations reaffirming their commitment to shared prosperity.
